Polina and Igor Pilipenchuk are internationally respected dance professionals, coaches, adjudicators, and studio owners with decades of experience in competitive ballroom dancing. Originally from Belarus, they moved to the United States in 1994, where they established themselves as leading figures in the American DanceSport community. They own and direct Atlantic Ballroom and Capital Ballroom in Maryland and organize several prestigious National Dance Council of America (NDCA) competitions, including the Atlantic DanceSport Challenge, Platinum Classic, and Kings Ball DanceSport Competition. Passionate about developing the next generation of dancers, they are dedicated to making ballroom dance accessible to students of all ages.
Their competitive achievements include two U.S. National Professional 10-Dance Championships, four North American Professional 10-Dance titles, the UK Open to the World Professional 10-Dance Championship, and numerous Professional Standard, Latin, and 10-Dance titles across North America. World 10-Dance finalists and Fellows of the North American DanceSport Teachers Association—the organisation's highest accreditation—they are recognised worldwide for their exceptional teaching, technical expertise, and lasting contributions to DanceSport.
